Start scrambling!

The end of the month is nigh! Get those last wise words slapped down on paper; send those last queries wafting out on the breeze of hope... the Koala Countdown is imminent!

  2. Does reading for an editor - live and in person - count the same as querying?

  5. I'm telling her mum!

Sarah, am I being stoopid if I ask, reading what?!

  6. Well. I think I should withdraw from the competition. I never successfully switched over from the Special Furry Rules, and I don't see it changing. I'm spending any free time, by and large, doing work-type papers, so I'm likely to remain on smackdown.

    Thanks for hosting me, however!

  7. Well, not the phone book.

    ;-)

Reading the first 5 or so pages of 2 of my mss to 3 different editors (1 ms per editor). Getting requests for full from 2 of the editors.

It was my favorite writer's retreat weekend. It's like querying without the query letter and getting a nearly immediate answer though not as fast as Jen has gotten in the past.

  8. Ah, yes, OK Sarah, that can count as a query. Straight to approves.

As for you Paca, you're going to be part of my new advertising slogan:

The Koala Challenge. So difficult that the highly eddicated can't handle it.

  9. I feel like Biggles, turning over teacup, map and socks for want of goggles.

But sadly I'll have to make do with Tarzan.

Whatever law of averages you subscribe to, the guy in the loincloth always gets there first.
