Reporting in for June

McK is about to go underground for a while, nonetheless, she expects full and detailed reporting in the comments for her to come back to. She may also be in a bad mood upon her return, so those stats better be good, or else...

Report in the comments, full rules are here

19 comments:

  1. 1 point for writing, 3 points for editing - 4 points for McK. Not real good. How about the rest of you? I'll be waiting...

  3. This underground stuff sounds stressful, I hope it isn't.

  4. As I'm on summer break with the kid, I'm stretching my writerly muscles a bit and can report 4 points for writing, most of it in the past week. Not earth-shattering for most butt-in-chair-every-day writers, but it's a *cough* novel experience for me.

Oh, I almost forgot I submitted a short story too.

So make that 5 points. Huh.

  5. I piddly little article... 1 point.

Resold 2 other articles, but I don't think those count as points.

Edited about 5,000 words (was 4,000 worth a point? If it is, then 1 point.

Wrote about 3,000 words - not enough for a point but a fuck of a lot better than I did last month.

    2 points?

  6. i submitted three stories this month so I'm clawing my way up the point ladder with 3 points.

I'll be spending July on a very small island (a mile long, 100 feet across) so hopefully I'll get a lot of writing done after work.

  7. I'm taking June as my month off. :/

Anyone know where I can get a new knee? And while I'm at it, I'll take a full replacement on my GI tract, thanks. :|

  10. Only 4 points for writing this month and nothing else, although I do have the excuse of lots of copy-edits to check through.

  11. 12500 words written, 5 points, edited same, 2 points, 1 query written, 1 sub, 1 novel beta'd. 10

    Feels safe in getting pedicure.

  12. I am as a slug over the flakiest filo pastry...

    1 for being perfectly reasonable.
    1 for editing
    1 for querying
    2 for short stories

    So — a miserable 5.

  13. Not putting it into gear like I should :o(

    4 pts - writing/editing
    1 pt - submitting
    1 pt - guest blogging
    ___

    6 pts - Total

Does an interview on someone's blog count the same as a guest blog? If so, I can at least start July off with a point...

@Iasa: The mile dimension of the island sounds awesome. The 100-ft width sounds like one good-sized wave would swamp you! Hope all your writing is waterproof :o)

  14. 1 short story submitted - 1 pt
    9500 words edited - 2 pts

    So...3 total

  15. Over 7k effin' words written bahbayy! Erm.. the bahbayy part wasn't directed to you madaaam. But those are two hard-earned points.
Can I get one more point for exceeding my own expectations? No? Alright 2 points it is then.

  16. Another good month despite travel, work, and four camping weekends with boy scouts. Let's see...

I think I get 1 point for my voice thingy.

And since I wrote that story in June, I'll take a point for that, too.

I wrote my synopsis, so +1 for that. And I sent in nine queries.

That's 12 so far, and I haven't talked about the 30,000 words I edited. I won't bother to do the math; I'll just keep my "approves" icon up on my site for now, K?

  17. Oh Jesus, is June over? Why didn't anyone tell me?

I finished the novel revisions and sent it out to readers. Can I count 90,000 words edited for that? I started back at the beginning and worked aaaaalllll the way through it, looking for location issues.

If not, um, I'm not sure what I can claim.

Do I get special credit for having been well-behaved for the first half of the year?

  18. I wrote 6000 words, edited 3000, and submitted 3 articles. 6 points.

  19. I am so sorry to be so late reporting! I'm callling June my month off, as it really was. I did no writing, barely did any reading, instead spent it inundated with moving (and other) crap. Finally flying to Britain on the 15th! About to have some room to breathe and write and edit. Finally. Long time coming.

Hope all of you are well!
