It's 2009!

C'mon, slowcoaches, catch up! I'm already hung over and contemplating what to have for breakfast. Fried ham and eggs sounds good to me. This could be you tomorrow!

Hope you're all having a fantastic festive season, with all your favourite goodies and gifties from the fat bloke in the red suit, and that you occasionally recall whose birthday it really is. BTW, Soccer Boy says that only three people live forever: God, Jesus and Santa.

Nothing profound to offer you today (see para 1), but promise to get back to regular blogging some time in the next week.

And remember. Hogmanay is not a kind of sausage.

Happy New Year!

It's 6:20 pm Eastern on New Year's Eve here. I'm afraid you're always gonna have to drag us along into the new year!

Happy New Year! Sounds like you had a good time.

We've got a bit to go yet. It's only just past six in the Midwest. Looking forward to chips and pop a bit later.

Take care!

Happy New Year. It's 1.26am here in the UK and I've just had Hogmanay on toast. Feeling strangely sober but my eyes look like Christopher Lee's did in all those old Hammer horror films, which means I'm probably drunk as a lord and better not stay on too long in case I say something stupid.

Yip yahoo! It's still three hours from the addition of the leap second and the dropping of the Times Square ball. Instead of fireworks here tonight (outside Boston) we are enjoying wild, gusty winds and about eight inches of snow on the ground.

Happy New Year!

It's 4.40 am here and I'm up with a dry mouth and headache searching for water and paracetamol.

Hope that 2009 brings you good things,

Jane

Happy New Year, McK. Sorry I'm late - it's just after 1pm on New Year's Day here but I see it's already the 2nd for you. My word, you're rushing into the future at an amazing rate and I never quite seem to catch up.

Love,
