Long Distance Slashing

The Koala is now a victim of the Great Cloud of Ash, finding herself stranded up a pine tree in Ancestral Koala McLand, without a flying fox in sight for her return journey. Pine needles are all very fine for a holiday, but she will soon be longing for a nibble of sweet eucalypt.

Guess what this means for you? Yes, she will be even stroppier by the end of the month. Write fast and write well. Snarl.

I'm sorry to hear you're one of the volcano victims! Let's hope the cloud disappears soon.

Sorry to hear that you're in the volcano realm. Hope the cloud dissipates soon.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm a bit scared so I've got to get writing: I'm writing, I'm writing, I'm scared, I'm writing.

Blame my brother Sarf. He lives in Iceland, and I suspect he set off the volcano just to mess with The Koala. He's such a good big brother.

Bad, bad goblin brother. Has he got a death wish or something?

I suppose you blend right in. Lovely camouflage for a koala, yes? I will be on my double extra guard at the end of next week. Still haven't sent out a new submission, but one more business trip with long flights next week will allow me to score a few points for writing at least.

Here's hoping you get back down under soon.
