Is the steam hissing from the end of your pen? Are there blisters on the ends of your poor little fingers? Are the moths the only things left in your wallet after you've spent all your pennies on query stampage? Then the Koala is proud!
So, in September, have you...

Submitted a novel to an agent or editor? (Straight up to Koala Approves!)
(Anyone who's on Koala Approves while waiting for an agent response, remember that you must keep writing/editing/submitting short stories in the next month. Anyone sitting on their laurels drops down a stage. However, if an agent asks you to make changes to a novel, you get to stay on Koala Approves for the duration of your editing and negotiations, provided you get those changes to him/her in time and remember your manners. Ask for an extension or moan about your potential agent and you drop down a stage.)
A reminder... Points cannot be held over for a following month. The Koala wants consistent effort. The Koala is always right.

Sarah's on approved, bless her little cotton socks.
McK scrapes on to one point with just over 2000 words - man, that story came out slow, but it came out good (at least I think it did).
And it's too hot in the kitchen for Dr Paca...
I feel like I'm just coasting.
Two mss subbed to a couple of pubs (big boys that accept unsolicited - on to smaller presses next month).
New agents mean a couple more agent subs out (request for a full, so yay).
Tiny little sub to one of Janet Reid's contests (but since I won, I'll count it).
Beta-read some short stories, but they don't seem to count. I'm sensing some length bias here.
Anyway, The Koala may approve, but I feel I'm letting myself down, so I'll keep the "is almost happy" badge this month.
3 visiting editors and now 3 requests for fulls. Oy!
Crack the whip, please. I gotta get a move on.
I think it's safe to say, I will not be getting anymore work done tonight.
Outlined nearly 13,000 words - 3 points

Ahem. McK. It's 4000 words, not 2000 words, to get a point. **arches eyebrow**
Er...and I would be an expert on this benchmark because only a desperate burst this morning allowed me to claw my way up to one point for September. **hangs head** Just over 4000 words for me.
Phoenix, approved! Iasa, you're safe! Hobgob, such a stickler for the rules! *mumble schmumble* OK, one point for you aaaand SMACKDOWN! for me.
Words written: 5,800
Submissions: 2
Author website: 1 (I'm on Amazon now!)
4 points
But I managed to send out some queries as well so I get to float up here as approved, right?
*angelic beam*
Oops! Sorry - meant to do this yesterday...
Submitted article = 1
Submitted short story = 2
Edited = 12,000 words (approx)= 2
Outlined/plotted 4K or more words for new novel in the works = 1
Synopsis written = 1
Wow- I've been busy busy busy but didn't get to 9!
Total: 7 points
I submitted 5 articles, but only wrote about 1400 words.
5 points.
Hey, that's a hell of a lot better than smackdown - AND the articles were invoiced, so I expect to get paid, if not published.
Stacy: I reckon getting paid is the main hurdle!
You're probably right, Sylvia. I'm counting the days and checking the mail. If I don't get anything in 30 days, it's an e-mail campaign.
Still in the writing rut. :/
2 submissions = 2 pts.
3654 words written = 0 pts. [hides under keyboard]
12,800 words edited = 2 pts.
TOTAL = 4 pts. which is extremely disappointing
If one of the subbed stories had been 2200 words longer, I'd have gotten another point for the pre-sub clean-up edit -- I need to write longer. :P Of course if I'd written more, I'd have gotten some writing points too, so....
Angie
I am reporting (and running away as fast as my feet can carry me): Zero.
This whole never getting days off thing is cramping my enthusiasm for just about everything. That said, I did find the time to read five books this week...so I suppose I don't have a decent excuse, do I?
14,200 words written, 6 pts
12,700 words edited 2 pts
Pokes Angie for not getting another measly 350 words written -- tsk. Unless... do all the written words have to be on the WIPs, or do words written for things like blogs and updates to author sites count?
I don't think blog or blog comments count.
No, blogs don't count - the strict Koala is looking for creative work. One point for a new website, but none for updates.
One for outlines, one for new fiction, one for query/synopsis, one for subs.
Which makes ten.
*wipes brow and slinks away before marsupial picks up calculator*...

Submitted a novel to an agent or editor? (Straight up to Koala Approves!)
WINNER WINNER! CHICKEN DINNER. STILL ACTIVELY SUBMITTING.
Good thing I'm submitting otherwise I'd have but 6 points.
Good boy, Travis *pat, pat*
Whirl, if it was a novel submission then you don't need to slink away, that will put you on approved.
