Here, but owie. Post surgery not quite as awful as I had thought, but a bit tired and sore now and mostly located in bed/on sofa. Got home from hospital yesterday; within a few hours mother-in-law had a fall and is now occupying my vacancy in the hospital. As my nephew put it, 'as soon as one comes out, another one goes in'. She's had many stitches in her head, but apparently no concussion and should get out later today. Her accident happened at the kids school where, bless them, an off duty ambulance officer and nurse (both parents) were on the scene. They worked hard, but they couldn't stop the bleeding that has traumatised half of the infants department; we're still getting calls from parents of freaked-out kids who want to ensure that Soccer Boy's Grandma didn't bleed to death. No, and she is issuing orders from her hospital bed about where her cane should be positioned, who to call and where her car should be parked etc., so we're hoping for a quick recovery.
It never rains but it...you know the one.

Hope you feel better soon. And hope Grandma is on the mend quickly - for everyone's sake apparently.
Hope you're feeling better very quickly. I don't know if you meant for us to laugh at this or not, so I'll wait for you to tell us...
Hope you feel better soon.
Glad to hear from you. Would have been better with less blood and owie, but I'll take what I can get.
Glad to have you back — wishing you & Drama Gran a speedy recovery.
Glad that the post op is going well. Keep on resting up. Hope that both you and MIL feel better soon. We had two kids in Emergency at our school this week - one broke his arm and the other cut his head badly.
Garvity must be extra strong in school yards.
Hope you feel better soon and that Grandma doesn't take all the TLC that should go to you.
Owies just suck. Sorry you're having an owie of a time!
Feel bettter soon, girl - and good luck with the cane positioning stuff as well.
Me n' Grandma still 'resting'. Grandma still in hospital with an impressive number of stitches, but more relaxed now that car and cane are appropriately positioned. Weird the things that obsess you when unwell.
We're still not sure if we're laughing or not, although I do rather like the name 'Drama Gran'. May have to steal that one. Have had so many phone calls re. her state of health and the amount of blood that came from said head that we may have to put an Oscar-Wilde style announcement in the school newsletter reassuring people that she is still with us and still issuing orders. I think the school should adopt her as a mascot. Much classier than a kangaroo.
Miss spanking you. Let me know when you're up for it.
Glad both of you are on the mend. :)
I'm totally lovin' Drama Gran.
My girls call my mother Gran. And the rest of the moniker fits as well. Believe it, baby. Too bad the lay-dies are in separate countries. They could, um, visit one another.
