The Will of a Princess is a Mighty Thing

Yesterday morning, Princess mentioned to Mr Koala that she had a sore throat and wasn't feeling well. Ah, says Mr Koala, well, if you need a day off school then you can't go to Princess Chum's birthday party tonight. 'I feel fine,' says Princess and trots off to school. And gets through the whole day. And an hour at home. And gets to the party and lasts an hour, then bursts into tears, confesses to Princess Chum's Mum that she feels really sick, then flops on the sofa and falls asleep right in the middle of the party games.

Poor old Princess. Willpower only gets you so far.

Aw. But she tried mighty hard and even went to school for the sake of the party. She must really like Princess Chum.

Alas, she is far more shallow than that. She just likes parties.

Poor kid. You have to admire her.

Well at least you know she just didn't want a mental health day off from school, but I do hope the kidlet's feeling better today!

Son of Whirl has recently discovered the Get Out Of Anything Worse Than Jail Stomach — not so much willpower as won'tpower.

I love that Princess girl. She has her priorities absolutely in order.

Dedicated to the pursuit of her passion. Just like her mom.

Checking in - 133 words and 3 word title for the CoN contest. 3 more chapters changed from 3rd person to 1st. Lots of slashing and rewriting going on there.

Picked up the third book in Sherwood Smith's Inda series as well as Pride, Prejudice and Zombies. Going to be tougher to write with all that wonderful reading going on.

Checking in. I hope Princess Koala Kub is doing better. I hope the eucalypt transition is going smoothly. I hope you and Mr. Koala have/had a grand visit with paca.

I managed 2K this week. So I'm still good. Well, maybe not good, but at least safe from the claws of the Killer McKoala. :)
