There will be no writing today

With good reason, not just procrastination (for once!). It's going to be 40 degrees Celsius here, 104 Fahrenheit. It gets five degrees or so hotter in my little room, perched as it is in the ideal position to collect all-day sun and I really don't want to die in a pool of melted fur.

Amuse me. How warm or cold is it where you are?

It's currently 20-something below zero Celsius here in Minnesota with an expected drop of another 20 degrees: -10 Fahrenheit, dropping to -20 in the next few hours.

I know the heat would kill me, but I'd really much rather have the heat.

Don't blame you about the writing.

we are getting ready for a major cold front here on the east coast. We're going way down below freezing and I'm miserable about it. I would much rather melt than freeze!

It's cold. And wet.

We've got a major cold snap here too. Today I had to wear long pants and everything. I don't think it even made it out of the 60s. Tomorrow looks even worse: 58! Gonna have to find that sweatshirt.

It's near 80 F here these days. Lots of nice, hot Santa Ana winds with their attendant heightened fire danger. Welcome to Southern CA winter. See why I don't want to leave this place?

We had frost all day yesterday so I'm guessing zero.

It's 21 degrees where I am. That's because I'm in my nice little warm house. Outside it's more like 6 and falling.

It's comfortable here, 16C during the day and dropping to just under 10 at night. Not that that stops me from complaining that I'm freezing to death. :)

Hm, Bevie takes the extreme cold award and I hang on to the extreme heat. BT takes ridiculous self-pity.

I think around 25c with a breeze is the most perfect temperature; warm enough to be outside with light clothing, but not too hot to stop you from doing whatever you want. However, if I'm being picky, as a fair skinned Celt a little cloud cover would be helpful.

It's below zero Celsius here in Michigan. Thanks for your kind words regarding my story, "If You'd Only Pay Attention." When you said, "Outstanding voice," did you mean the written voice, or the narrative version on my blog? Just curious. Peace.

Woohoo! I win!

JRT, my comments were on the written version - I haven't visited any of the blogs yet - took so long to read all the entries! Of course, I'll visit yours now!

BT, if I had any graphic talent I'd make you a badge.

I don't want to hear it! I'm so cold, I'm snuggling with my heating pad instead of my teddy bear...
